 WELCOME!

______

We are The Stringcredibles!

Background

As a small music charity we have been developing connections between musicians and audiences since 2014.  At the heart of our work is a quartet of professional musicians who work creatively with young people and those who facilitate their music education.

Based in Birmingham, our work is largely with schools and communities within the West Midlands, with our main focus being on primary aged children.

Through connecting our performances with the wider education curriculum and with children’s everyday life experiences we make live, classical music approachable and relevant to all.

It is our belief that every child has the right to a rich musical life and all the benefits to wellbeing, belonging and creativity that brings.

Mission

Our mission is to spread the joy of music through live performances that create moments of awe and connection.

Vision

We strongly believe in the power of music to transform lives.  Our vision is more children flourishing through their connection with music.

OUR VALUES

______

1. Inspirational Discovery

Our ambitious musical adventures inspire and empower everyone who takes part.

2. Playful

We use the power of play to challenge expectations and create learning that is joyful, fun, and engaging for all.

3. Nurturing

We create welcoming and safe environments where we and our learners can explore and experiment with music together.

4. Thoughtful and Intentional

Behind everything we do sits a clear rationale; there is a reason for every detail.

5. Supporting Community and Partnership

Working together across schools and the wider community, we collaborate to build long-term partnerships that support and enhance music education.

Strategic Priorities

We have three strategic priorities currently:

  1. Impact

We will deliver programmes and workshops that have impact on our audiences.  We will measure that impact through evaluation of the work we do.

  1. Inclusion

We will continue to strive to make sure all of our experiences are inclusive and will focus our attention on outreach that enables us to work with those communities and children who are unlikely to have access to live classical music.

  1. Connection

We will broaden the reach and impact of the work we do by connecting and collaborating with other musicians and members of the musical community, as well as educational organisations.
